I've found that 1 second doesn't work very well. It's almost as if the page doesn't actually refresh at that rate.
Its because you almost surely end up with multiple max page views if you are doing anything else at all on mturk or have anything else at all that causes page request.

Mine was 8secs. I just had it running cause there was nothing else really and I was chatting with friends when it popped up. I never set my pandas below 3secs.
