Yeah, I got MAGIC! and MAGIC...almost marked yes then I realized one was a reggae band, the other wasn't.
He just works endless hours, like 10+ at 10/h I heard. The real problem is his scripts' instructions and how he tells people to submit n/a's all the time or at least risk doing it based on a "hunch". That's just half the problem though (the other half is the pay effects)
No, I haven't. I remember it popping up like 8,500 times and never getting it, so that's why it seemed so familiar. There have also been many $10 surveys over the past few weeks come and go that my head is spinning trying to keep track of everything.
I've got 13 minutes to make $3 to hit $40 on this garbage day actually I forgot that's not counting the $4 firewall bonus so I guess I'm alright
It's just pathetic that some decide to n/a blast a batch and get away with it. All it does is hurt the honest workers
When I was forced to turk full time 2 years ago, I used to keep a spreadsheet of the bonuses that I was supposed to receive, and the bonuses that I actually received. It was around 70-75% that they actually paid them. Don't know why I thought to bring that up, but an interesting tidbit nonetheless. LOL
I disagree in certain contexts. Personally, I will not touch a batch where it says find X and return the hit if you cannot find it. If I search and cannot find X, I feel I should be paid for my time. I guess some may take advantage of it
That doesn't surprise me. Sergey still owes me one for that wiktor qual and ARRC owes me one. Those are really the only two I can currently recall.
It also makes the requester aware that those HITs need another way of finding the information they need; sort of like flagging the data.
I understand the argument that you should be paid for your time, and I agree with it. My thing is, I'm probably one of the best on mturk when it comes to finding email addresses, and if I can't find one then I just return it because somebody else might be able to find it. Odds are, the next person in line is just going to N/A it, but whatever. I don't lose sleep over not allowing N/A. My bigger issue is with people who want the first name, last name, job title, and name of the firstborn child...all for five cents.
