The problem with this is there are simply some things that legitimately cannot be found. For instance OCMP34 there are some charities that do not have a list of donors online it does not exist. Returning something like that if you cannot find it is silly since no one can find it. I mean you put an honest good faith effort to find it but if you cannot I put NA. I mean I will put a lot of time looking for something if I cannot find it knowing I will make up for it on the other hits in the batch where the information is easier to find but I'm not going to sped all that time to just return it have someone else not be able to return it and continue down the cycle till someone turns it in or it expires because everyone returned it when they couldn't find the information. Also whether or not I would give NA would really depend on the batch and what it is asking me to find. I mean there is some information that has to be made available or at the very least there is an incredibly high probability the information will be available this would be something like a professor at a major universities website or email. On those I am unlikely to give any NA. Other times there are expected to be a lot of information that will be unretrievable and for those I do put NA when I cannot find them these would be donor list in OCMP34 I mean they mentioned a retrieval rate of 10% or something though think it might be higher but even saying 30% you cannot honestly expect everyone to return 70% of hits on the low end when the information is simply not there and they even mentioned no matter how long they had in house search they only found slightly more then us specifically we found 91% of what their in house team found with an unlimited amount of time. Don't really do normal email batches but emails for most people fit in a more middle ground so would probably depend on whether I'd return or not.
