This requester has posted a survey named answer survey about sports and schooling. But the link doesn't contains any survey.It has some offers to be completed. Very bad.Then why do these people name the title with surveys? Even after completing this surveys this requester has rejected my hit.
HITs that require you to sign up for anything violate mTurk TOS. That should be a red flag right there -- don't do them.
Sorry that happened to you, yes as BB said, HITs that want your information should be avoided. Next time report it. If it's not a real survey then don't do it. But you live and learn.

LOL ohso... my mother still does not know the difference between a browser and a search engine so don't feel bad. I don't use turkopticon either. Not since they were caught snooping on peeps hourly rates and other account info and then sending the info unencrypted to Stanford over the web.

But you use Amazon most likely the shaddiest of companies when it comes to tracking you right next to Google and Facebook. But that's besides the point. My point was there are so many resources when it comes to being a newbie Turker, after all he/she found this forum so they had to be looking for such resources. Then to not use the most recommended tool (If they didn't want the download they could of searched directly from http://turkopticon.differenceengines.com ) So it comes down to laziness and a bit of greed if you ask me.
That's a bit presumptuous...the whole point of this forum is to share our experiences with requesters both good and bad so to call someone lazy or greedy for sharing their negative experience is a bit ridiculous if you ask me
They already seen the hit was not what it was advertised to be, they see it's a referral scam, they continue to do it. Nah, not really. Besides, their tracking isn't really what pissed me off. It was their sharing of that information to an outside source without my knowledge or approval.
I don't think you're a total ass, but maybe a bit pretentious. Just means you fit in with most of us - but gawd don't berate or intimidate new people from fekkin sharing their stuff. Not everyone's learning curve is the same. Don't hold everyone to the same expectations as you think are necessary.
I think (and I am a very pretentious person, lol) that most newbies have no idea how many scammers there are on Mturk. Newbies see "Amazon" and automatically think it's all legit. "Oh but it's a hit that's gone through Amazon, so it must be OK". Newbies most likely have no idea how little control Amazon actually exerts over requestors... So, they need forums like ours and people like us to un-naive them.
hi, i am not expressing that mturk experience is bad.I wanted to say that why requester use different tags which is not involved to the hit itself.Thats all. if this problem is resolved many workers don't get affect with their status?
