    What is this?

I am Tjbot! I'm a solution devised by the genious mods to prevent there ever being a day that hit threads aren't posted! The whole point of my existence is to post a hit thread if one doesn't exist by 12:08am PST. If you see this post, assume that this one is the main post. One of the mod team will clean up existing posts and consolidate once they wake up and get online. As my name indicates, I am a bot. I don't post, nor do I respond to PM's. If you have any problems, send an email to tjbot@ns4t.net or PM Tjololo, he can help out with any issues.
Want to make tomorrow's thread? Just go for it!

I was told about a turk forum yesterday that I never knew about but it’s private. Couldn’t see anything at all without signing up. I wonder how many there are that we don’t know about?

Good Morning! @jenni3kat I bet there are a few for sure. I know when TN closed down they started one on one of the chat sites. I never checked it out, but there are (at least) a couple on facebook. Then there are the private small groups too. I'm pretty convinced that someone has come up with a new script that is even better than the ones we all know about too.

Is this picture of the Council on Foreign Relations or the Bilderberg Group?
The sad part is its portrayed as a joke or meme. Psychological Warfare.
Did you know that the US Army's 4th Psychological Operations (PSYOPS) Group out of Fort Bragg, NC worked at CNN's Atlanta HQ in 2000? https://fair.org/take-action/action...nt-propaganda-experts-working-on-news-at-cnn/

whenever there's money (which translates to power) involved there will always be greedy people who try to figure out how to acquire as much of it as possible for themselves and keeping their methods hidden from the general public. Whether that means owning the banks or simply knowing the script kiddie that writes code to grab HITs before anyone else.

That's the world we live in today.

Remember Jane (or whatever her name was) with the Stanford NLP requester where she made herself a gatekeeper for his private qual and work? Supposedly they were making upwards of $1000 per week? Then she let in all her friends from this forum and told everyone else to F off. There was a picture floating around of her little group after they met IRL and they all looked like heroin/meth addicts.

It's a selfish greedy world these days. Not surprised at all to hear there's private hidden places for people to share good paying HITs to keep for themselves. Nobody cares about anyone else when it comes to money. Some people will kill their own family if it means they get to acquire wealth. Crowd-sourcing encourages & rewards us for fighting & competing with each other for money.

I just hope nobody is forced to use Turk for their primary income otherwise it'll stress you out badly. All we can do is take what we can get for side income and be happy the platform is still around.

It's a big club. And you ain't in it.

    /rant (sorry Flora)

@Carpy I didn't know about this 'Jane', that is interesting. We used to have an unwritten rule of sharing, but not so much anymore. The thing I don't get is that some of these script writers are soooo smart and talented. Why in the world are they wasting their time on mturk?

They can write scripts and sit on their butts at home to pay their bills instead of working for a company 9-5 and coding the way the company wants. Entry-level programming isn't all that great of pay. Once you get senior level it starts to become good salaries but then your constantly working on projects from demanding managers. I've read horror stories of working for places like Amazon as software developers.

TurkorTreat (whatever his name) was a good example of that. When turk was popping years ago, he was always posting his ridiculous earnings (minimum $500 weeks) because he wrote his own scripts for normally garbage paying batches. I majored in programming and couldn't pursue it as a career because of these things. Plus I didn't want to constantly be learning new programming languages in my spare time just so I could keep my job.

    Just my opinion.
