After briefly turking 2 years ago, I have returned since I am in between graduation and employment. My short-term goal is to purchase GRE prep books (so I can take them the GRE one more time before I apply to PhD programs) and to complete some minor updating to my rooms so I can list on Airbnb. I live about 10 minutes from the beach, and the few homes in my area on Airbnb seem to do a brisk pace at ~$70 a night. Overall, I want to build up my HITs and familiarity with tasks while I have free time now, so once I return to work I can still make a little in my off hours. I want to use the extra income to pay for cultural and sporting events for my son to attend, which are the things I find it difficult to pay for now. I am very thankful for turking, though now I do see every purchase in how long it would take me to turk to pay for it! Best wishes to my fellow turkers!
