Yesh. She seems to have gotten a bit better this year. Her audio is still shit but she is much less screamy.

If there are any QI fans out there, the first Book of General Ignorance is only $1.99 on Amazon today. https://www.amazon.com/Book-General-Ignorance-John-Mitchinson-ebook/dp/B000URWYUW Also, does anyone have a recommendation for a really stellar audiobook? I still have an Audible credit I need to use before I cancel.
I have to admit that I am almost as bad with audiobooks as I am with regular books in that I think, this will be good to listen to while commuting, walking, etc but then never do. That being said, I did enjoy Confederacy of Dunces and Life of Pi on Audible. Really kind of depends on your taste though. I would probably pick a really long book that you have always wanted to read but just know that you won't http://www.audible.com/pd/Fiction/A-Confederacy-of-Dunces-Audiobook/B002V0KKHK#customer-reviews http://www.audible.com/pd/Fiction/L...f=a_search_c4_1_1_srTtl?qid=1474244711&sr=1-1
Have you read Ready Player One by Ernest Cline? It is my and the hubby's favorite book. The audio book is great. It's read by Wil Wheaton
Thanks! I am not hugely into audiobooks, either. I only did the trial because it was such a good deal when they did that Prime day special. I got HHG2G, read by Fry and Kitchen Confidential, read by Bourdain. Good idea, though! I was also thinking that I might just pick a random book read by someone whose voice I like. Have not read it yet but it must be fate! I logged in and that was the first suggestion it gave me. Thanks! Also just saw this (of interest to Prime members): http://www.geekwire.com/2016/amazon...e-benefit-great-not-available-amazon-tablets/
Drove fine, but oh man don't let the ease of disc braking systems get into your head. Big change after driving 4 wheel disc cars for many years.
I love, love, love audio books! I had no desire to read or listen to any of the Harry Potter books but my grandkids insisted. Some of you already know I would do anything for those kids so I got one . OMG! The reader is the most amazing reader I have ever listened to and I have listened to hundred and hundreds of books.
I initiated a payment from Amazon Payments to my bank this morning at 7 am EST, usually I get the confirmation email that it has been completed a few hours later. It's going on 14 hours now and it's still showing as pending. Is anyone else having an issue with Payments today?
I must be the only one who doesn't like audio books. I can't stand someone reading to me. But I love reading.
I'd have spent all my credits on Harry Potter books if they allowed us to get the UK ones from Audible. Yeah. That's one of the new "improvements". It's only an issue if it doesn't turn up after 48 hours.
I knew about the delay between Mturk and Amazon Payments, but today is the first time I've experienced a delay between Amazon Payments and it completing my transfer to my bank. Usually, I transfer to payments and it takes 7-8 hours, which sucks but I've gotten used to it now. But once it's in Payments I haven't experienced any delays. It's really throwing me for a loop and pissing me off. Thank you for the response though!
I don't like audiobooks either, but it was the only way I got any books read after the baby was born. It made long nights seem not as bad
No, you aren't alone. My daughter doesn't love them either but she is a voracious reader. I started listening to them when my job required driving around DC in rush hour traffic. It was a way for me to not kill other people on the road I only listen when I'm driving, waiting in line at the PO or waiting at the doctor's office. I have found that they just keep me calmer in otherwise stressful situations.
Ugh! Glad it's not just me though. I really hope this is just a one time thing and not another wonderful improvement. Why can't they just give me my money when I ask them for it. It should not be this hard lol
