I am new to the MTurk world! Been at it about a month now. Appreciating all of the great info and tips in this forum. Quick question...is there a place on here that lists all of the bad requesters. In the last 2 days alone, I have gotten "fooled" by about 6 hits. Took super long surveys and then no code! No Pay! Is there any way to tell before doing the hit, that it is a scammer. Also, If I return the hit do they still get my filled out information? This is becoming very annoying, With all the safeguards they have to make sure the workers do not commit fraud, I would think they would be a little more vigilant with the requesters as well. Any help is greatly appreciated! Have a great weekend!
Do you know about Turkopticon? It's a site where workers can rate and review requesters, which can help weed out the worst ones. There are scripts and plug ins you can install to give you quick access to those reviews. It's one of the best tools for turkers to use.
This is what I use. At first I was getting some rejections. Now I just use Turkopticon, which is very helpful. I seldom get rejections now. I do wish that there was a way for Amazon to screen better for spammers scammers. I don't understand why someone would take the time to put up a bad hit.
