Hi: Some requesters have a lot of hits available and I want to do a ton but scared after reading some post that peoples correct hits got rejected. Is there a place to find information on requesters payout rates or whether or not they are legit? Also am I allowed to post their names here and ask?
There's an addon for Firefox that shows you how other workers are rating each requester. It's called Turkopticon and you can check it out here:http://turkopticon.differenceengines.com/
Wow! Great Tool!! Thanks. I'm waiting on these: Buzz.com Jason Gurwin User453 Dolores Labs Anyone get approved hits and paid from them?
Half Baked has summed it pretty well ... also don't trust any single reviews with all 5-star ratings.
Im waiting to hear from Buzz.com as well. I submitted my work less than 24 hours ago. Casey Muller techlist Elisabeth Ploran are a few ones that pay quick and that I know are legitimate
I can say buzz.com takes a few days but does pay eventually and dolores labs is great! usually 24 hours to get paid not sure about the others
Hits done for User453 from 10th to 13th October are approved but are still pending for payment. What is final deadline of getting paid.
Don't worry about "Dolores Labs" they pay within two days. Unlike "user453" they pay after 5 days I think,I remember once, they paid me after 6 days and had a rejected of 5 hits out of 41 hits-that even after I followed the rules very carefully. Hi PC1 did u get any rejected hits from "user453"? Just wanted to know, tnx.
This link provides a download for Google Chrome users as well, and in my opinion, is a very useful tool.
I use Google Chrome, I think it work better the Firefox for mTurk... but that is only my opinion. Also Chrome as spell check which really comes in handy
Yeah make sure you are using the Turkopticon site/browser add-on (I use Chrome's add on), without it you are likely to waste a lot of your time.
It took more than 5 days for me to get paid by "user453" and got 4 rejections out of 70 plus hits I did. They had system bugs that time yet got a rejection after strictly following their rules. Well if a requester is legit or not- you can't really tell real scammers till someone experiences it and share his experience. I always visit requesternation.com to see who is active and not.
I wish I could agree with you. I used to be a big fan of Speechink but lately, not so much. I have done a few hits lately that take almost a month to be paid for and then, when I do fianlly get the pay, they don't give the bonus. As someone who has an overall rating of 98% on their hits, I find it very hard to believe that I earned no bonus. And they don't answer question/requests about their hits. It's a great source to work for but I won't risk it anymore with having only a "chance" of getting paid.
