I am still contacting Amazon if they cud work it out with Mturk and give me back my hard earned money, the main problem being there isnt much co-ordination between Mturk and the Amazon departments.Additionaly Mturk doesnt have a live chat option. Can anybody here get me frank and good solution to work this out for me.I really really need that cash and cant afford the pain by just letting it go :(

Aha! Now, I really doubt the hacker is an Amazon employee ;)

Wow that's amazing. I thought you had an earlier post about how Amazon decided to restore your account and return all of your money, or am I wrong? How did he withdraw the money? If it was an order shouldn't it have been cancelled and the money restored to the account? Or if he requested a check Amazon should be able to cancel it and restore the money to your account.

I'm sure you know that none of us can give you a clear answer. I'd personally just keep annoying them about it until something gets resolved. Actually since he stole money across borders doesn't that make this a worse crime? You could probably threaten to go to the FBI or Interpol, or whoever it is that handles that sort of thing.

Yep they have cancelled the order made by hacker...He had actually kep 8$ left in the gift card.Amazon had ensured the safety of my account but they havent yet told me about creditting my money. What i just posted was the helplessness message from MTurk Team.I wish Amazon looks into this matter with serious concern and gives me my money

Yep i surely know none of you guys know about it.I was asking for personal suggestions as fellow forumers.Nothing more.

Yep been there and done that.I requested one of the Amazon representatives that i want Amazon to go for the legal proceedings against the hacker as me and the Amazon has almost all his details with us like the email address ..Below shows what i heard from them regarding that

if the case is still ongoing just keep the faith.... you have your account back when you thought it was gone so just hang in there.... all else fails... start banging on the back doors... for now have faith!!!

I would recommend asking Amazon for some form of reimbursement. If they can't give you the funds through mTurk, at least they can send you a check or something.
In the future, I would cash out regularly and avoid allowing money to accumulate in your account.
I also doubt that Amazon will take legal action over $150. It is a large amount of money to you and me, but to them it is insignificant. Sorry, but I hope I helped at least a little bit.

They probably have to complete their investigation before they return the money.

IDTS.. They've completed the investigation and it's clearly written in the first mail that they apologize deeply and they can't be of more assistance in this matter.

Furthermore to add to my aggrevation....My payments account update functionality has been disabled for the time being after the hack activity and as a result I am unable to update my address setting on Mturk so as to verify my identity.Hence i am yet not able to do any HITs.

Been live chatting with Amazon representatives regarding this for the past 2 days but in vain :(

Same was happen to my friend his mturk account was hack and he had around $232 in his account .
but nothing had happen in this case at the last amazon tell my friend its you fault not to keep your account safe and thats why this happen.

First thing I want to explain to you its totally your fault because password and account details has been leak from your side that why amazon don't entertaining you.

My suggestion to you dont waste your time regarding this on amazon try to start with fresh mind and this time work more safe and smart.

My mturkforum.com account has been hacked and this is my new username: shariqueahmer11 (formerly shariqueahmer). No wonder that mturkforum.com account was hacked since this site has absolutely no security certificate, encryption anything.

Munawar, by any chance you have the same username and password for mturk.com and mturkforum.com because if that's the case then most probably it was hacked on mturkforum.com.

Websites like mturkforum.com should never have a user log in facility at all since they don't provide any security for their site (costs them money). What's the point of having a username and password facility when the password itself is not protected. It's like locking a bank's locker and then giving the key to a thief.
