You can literally say "Because I feel like it." And they consistently give 10 cent bonuses (for, I assume, better explanations.) I've always found them pretty worth it. Edit: I actually got the 10 cent bonus for that one. 14 cents for less than 20 seconds.

I don't think that you get bonuses for the quality of the explanation. Pretty sure you get a .10 bonus for every 10 hits that you complete.
