Oh wow. Just got one extraction where someone just added an annual report..with no donor list...and the annual report was for a completely different organization...lol
Guys like those are what are preventing us from getting a raise. They are literally costing us money. I don't like those people.
I agree with you on that one. I got one the other day that was that way. The company was a humane society. They linked me to the "how to donate" page on the goodwill site. Beat all I had ever seen.
Ugh this is so frustrating! Just write something in the comments box and I will both bonus you and get rid of them. It bugs me that I tried to do a good thing a few folks are taking advantage of that. On a side note, I'm back! Things are busy here at ocmp34land. Ideally my dev team will have the bonus structure implemented tomorrow, so I probably won't be posting any new batches until tomorrow or Monday. Sorry guys!
Sadly it happens to all good requesters. Though it seems to be getting better and pretty sure you have removed a lot of the bad apples already since there seems to be significantly less things that are just blatently wrong for the extraction. Probably just have a couple more bad apples to be removed.
I have to agree with Twird, it has gotten better. You have removed a large amount of the bad apples. Before it was maybe 3 or 4 hits in 10, and now it is down to about 1 hit in 15-20. I would say you are slowly getting there. I did have another one, this was a few days back, that was for humanitarian relief, and they gave me the link to a humane society. Those are about the only two that really stand out. Any others have been less obvious problems, like just annual reports instead of donor lists. I do comment in the comments box when I get an odd one like that. Hope you can find out who is doing it!
I wonder sometimes if this is because someone has multiple pages open due to slow internet or whatever. I have horrifically slow internet at work (working on fixing that...I mean, we own the place! lol) and I've been tempted to open 2-3 of these at once so while one page is loading I can be working on another. But the scenario you just described is exactly why I haven't done it. I'd be entirely too paranoid about pasting the info from one org into the wrong hit. 'Cause if they're just scamming, blargh. I don't get scammers. What good is a few quick bucks if there are no bucks in the future? I just don't get it, but maybe I'm too long-term in my thinking. But it really explains why requesters with no quals pay so little if they have to pay three times for one good answer.
Ya, I got to wonder myself. It makes no sense to do poorly and get removed from the project. The money you make in the short run will be far less than what you would make in the long run.
Only one person from whom I've removed the qual has contacted me about it, even though I emphasized that the removal was temporary and that they should let me know if something doesn't seem right. Hoping my bonus structures arrive today.
Yep a scammer won't complain because he knows he's been caught and a check of his work will show he's a scammer. Whereas a person doing the work correctly who was accidently removed will contact because a scan of their work will show they are doing it right. The less people you have contacting you about being removed the better.
This is why I wish more requesters had qual tests. I'm willing to wait and work for the good stuff. And no requester deserves to be scammed.
Hello! I have returned! The good news: the bonus system is up and running. The bad news: it's unlikely I'll be able to post a batch this week.
