I only broke the 1000 HIT threshold a few days ago and since I have been finding and completing a great deal more HITs than I had previously. In completing many more HITs I now have like 450 pending (was 500 or so earlier), I guess it kinda makes me nervous and was wondering if anyone else feels the same. How many pending HITs is your limit, or do you have a limit? I am still below 2k submitted with 3 rejection, and I guess once my HITS are a lot higher it will lessen the damage done by random rejections proportionally.
I have no limit for how many pending I allow myself to have. I just make sure I'm doing work for requesters with positive reviews, and if it's one that I'm new too and unsure of I make sure I only do a small batch for them until I determine whether I trust them or not. I have about 600 pending right now, and there's only maybe 4 in those 600 that I'm not entirely sure of.
I guess it depends on the requesters and whether or not they've got good ratings on TO. I only have about 1600 HITs submitted and I know a bad requester (or my inability to understand their rules) could kill my rating. I don't do mass HITs at this time.
