Rejection has been overturned. Contact Lisa if you still have this reject I got a reject last night from them over the HIT Perceptions of Sexual Violence Vignettes October 06, 2012. Here's the rejection text: Did anyone else do this HIT, get rejected? I am sure I would have entered an ID had there been an option. Also wouldn't the form reject submission because of an empty required field? I thought no big deal I might have overlooked something. Then I looked at their TO and nine other turkers are there saying they were rejected for same thing. What is the process for overturning this? I saw what happened with 33cube yesterday and I'm not advocating mob mentality nor do I want to lead it.....I just want my $.50
I didn't do that hit, but I know what you mean about likely unfairly rejected work. I'd start with a polite email to the requester. Tell them that you don't recall there being any field for worker ID in the survey. If there had been, you would have completed it, as you don't do shoddy work. Also ask your question about whether the form would have been processed with an empty field. Also let them know that you've become aware that other Turkers have experienced the same issue. See where it goes from there.
hi leftfield I also woke up to the same reject and reason. May be worth sending an e-mail, I'm going to. given the TO reviews today, I'm pretty sure I didn't leave my ID number off.
Looks like I need to write them. I woke up to a reject for the same thing and I KNOW I would have put my worker ID if a survey asked for it.
seems like they are getting a few e-mails, just got this mass-message, so you probably don't need to contact them now: Hi, If you are writing because your MTurk HIT was recently rejected, I apologize for the error. I was unaware of a problem we had with our external survey site and am working to get everyone credited for their survey completion. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Got the same thing. They had a good rating(on 3 reviews). Now they have a horrible rating on a lot of reviews, including mine.
Somebody updated their turkopticon review and said they have been in touch with the requester who is going to try to reverse the rejections. We'll see how that goes.
