I've got 951 approved hits. Looking for something to get me to 1000 as fast as possible.
p9r, although the weekends aren't as busy with them
CS, Oscar, Redwood, CrowdMed
Don't do Oscar Smith's crap hits, your time is worth more than $1.50/hr.
Real Estate Research - but there's a qualification test; I don't know if you'll find it more today. Try, or keep in mind for when they post again.
Forget $1.50 an hour, I'm lucky if I get much more than that per day. I'm so surprised when people say they won't do anything on MTURK which won't provide them with minimum wage. I have yet to see anything on MTURK which will provide me with minimum wage. Not even close. Not even multiple hits from multiple requesters put together.
You are doing something seriously wrong here OR not doing something everyone does. IDK. I am from India and even I'm getting more than the minimum wage standards of US when I work hard.
Choose your hits wisely.10 cents per minute ($6/hr) is the absolute minimum that I'm willing to work for. If the hits aren't there that are going to pay me that rate, then I find something else to do and check turk again later.
Quick batch hits and short surveys are the way to go. It also helps to decrease how long batches take you if you can become familiar/good with utilizing keyboard shortcuts instead of pointing and clicking with your mouse. Tab to cycle through radio buttons within the hit, space bar to select the button, ctrl+tab to cycle through your browsers tabs, etc. All those little shortcuts help me turn what might be 7-8 cents per minute hits into 10 cent per minute hits.
There aren't very many of those.
There don't even seem to be very many Oscar hits today. Hasn't he usually put up several 3,000 hit batches by this time?
Hey, don't be sad. "Tomorrow is another day..."
You're right, now there's not much to do.
At least look after these requesters some of us told you about. Set your searches on them. There are also others. Just that good HITs and good batches come and go very fast. You may use these "pauses" to browse the pages , to begin a little familiar with req, HITs, to decide what you like to do , or not...
Don't despair, you are at the very first beginning.
Like everywhere, here are also good days and bad days.
... Try to get as many qualifications as you can!
There are some p9r running right now!
I started and returned that one. Some of the choices are too strange. Not sure which the person would think it is and I'm not risking a rejection for one cent.
No, there aren't. Fact is, Mturk isn't meant to be a way to make a full-time income, it's just to make a little extra money on the side. Work when there are good hits to be done, when there aren't then find something better to do. It's not worth sitting in front of the computer all day long making just a couple dollars per hour.
I've got twenty more down, 971 approved.
wustl_vision just put up hundreds of image annotation HITs. They are easy. Never heard of the requester.
He's worse than Oscar. .02 for a job worth .10 is just unfair.
Agree, those hits are awful. Should be 10 cents for those to be worthwhile.
Agree 100% - but on the weekends, its OK. Much better than Crowdsource web classification which pay 10c and take much longer. The OP is after numbers, not money.
