I think if it was gonna happen it would have happened by now, he's doled out his rejections the rest are left to auto approve I would say.

    299 rejections looking good :D

Yeah it's a weight off my mind, I was planning on being gutted for the next week or 2 lol

That sounds like a good plan, I don't think i'm gonna be touching any requesters i'm too scared to haha i'll stick to Crowdflower for a bit I think :D

True, one or the other would be nice lol i'd take the mass rejection anyday I think, least you live to fight another day..

Holy %$%$!! Congrats! I am so glad you had that issue fixed. I honestly did not think amazon would even bother. Is there a light at the end of the tunnel?? Possibly? Honestly your situation messed me up so bad I haven't even turked hardly today. Kinda takes the steam out of a person when they see someone getting screwed like that.. Glad they let you back =)

Thanks man :D I always had high hopes that they would unban me if they looked into my account but I didn't expect it to be fast.. I was thinking more like a month so to get unbanned so fast is brilliant, couldn't have asked for more from them really.

It's good for me though cuz I needed my money, got a girlfriend to keep in shoes and stuff haha

Yeah but now you have to get that rating back up, lesser of two evils I suppose.

That's a bonus of doing tons of batch hits

I have 41437 approved and 474 rejected with those 299 I just got.. Means i'm still at 98.9%

If my maths are correct I need around 6000 approvals to get back to 99% which is all you need really. 6000 is like 3 days work :D

So glad they let you have your account back! When a requester blocks a worker, do you get a notice saying you have been blocked?

Thank you very much :) Yep if somebody blocks you you'll get an email within a day telling you about it. If you've never had one then it's a very good sign for you :)

Thank you! I get worried when I do several HITs for a requester until I've had at least a few accepted so I know I'm on the right track as far as what they want.

What an emotional roller coaster, ice! I'm so thankful for you that you're able to keep on turkin' -- and I can't believe l2w, what a low blow. :( YAY! Now if there was only something that could be done to keep requesters like that from ruining accounts. :/

Yep quite a day for me :) Thanks so much! True enough about the requesters, although i'm still puzzled by l2w, if you look at his TO the first 5 reviews were all full greens and the final 6 are all full reds.. weird to see such a change like that, I prefer a requester to be either fully good or fully bad so at least I know what i'm getting, these Jekyll/Hyde ones are the dangerous types :p

Yeah... I still have A LOT of l2w HITs pending. I keep checking my account every hour or so to see if they've started to either approve or reject yet.

I'm glad to hear that you had your block revoked.

What I'd speculate happened is that at first he put out some tasks and was easy on accepting or rejecting them, but then someone took advantage of his good nature and submitted a raft of shite, just unusable or unreliable results, so he felt like he had to toughen up his policies to protect himself against scammers and poor quality work*, which is the flyswatter that you got smacked with.

It's also possible that he's posted different tasks and that his last set of HITs contained ambiguous or unclear instructions, which meant he wasn't able to get consistently reliable data back.

Without seeing what his total reject rate was on that series of HITs, it's impossible to tell.

*This is also why I think that anonymous crowdsourcing is such a difficult model to make successful, because you have to put in robust controls to protect against scammers or poor quality results by people who don't understand the task.
