Does anyone here do the Crowdsurf hits? The only transcription hits I've done on mturk are Hitflo and Transcribe this. I like both of those requesters and don't mind transcription work.
I've always heard that women like turtles, for some reason. Guinea pigs also seem popular, for some reason.
Do you use any speech to text software? I've never tried a transcription hit, because I'm afraid that it will take me an hour to transcribe 5 minutes of audio.
Nah. Just tried one out and it's only like 15 seconds long. I think I could handle that. Don't know if the pay is worth it though.
I used to do them a ton. I liked them as filler on nights I couldn't sleep. The keyboard shortcuts really help.
I've only done transcription hits that pay a dollar per audio minute, but back in the day, the the hot rumor on MTG was that you could use the speech to text software (Dragon, or whatever) and make bank. The trick is, you have to kind of train the software to recognize your voice. I know of a few people who make money just off of transcription hits, but they're clever enough to not give up their secrets.
I took an online video captioning test for a company called Rev once. They have their own software that "helps" you caption videos according to their standards. It took an hour to finish the test. It was probably a 5 minute video. I don't remember what the pay rate was. I passed the test, but decided not to pursue that further.

Thanks, I was looking for "backup," not "export." I've replaced the alarms with a soft "bup" sound, and just for one event, "hit found."
