I think it's cute they just think you can sign up at MTurk to work for them. Recetnly I've had several people finally desperate enough to want to do what I do for a living even after I try and discourage them (because I know it's hard and most people hate it and won't stick with it after making $7 their first week). Needless to say everyone who tried to sign up was rejected.
Same thing happened to me. I submitted the HIT putting a note that there was a failure during the video part, emailed the requester, an they've already sent an email back saying it's okay and they will approve.
Damn I just abandoned it. I don't know why there are times I do exactly what you did. I certainly ain't afraid of one rejection if there's a chance of getting an easy buck.
