No. Too much investment for the area. There used to be 13 mansions along that street and it is the only one left. I will probably be $250,000 in it when I am finished with all the work. I probably could not sell it for that, and I think I would not want to give it up after all the work. It is quite the showplace, or will be, when it is finished. 12 ft ceilings, 8 fireplaces, marble floors and walls, handpainted murals on the walls. It was owned by the richest family in the city 110 years ago Edit: Here is the foyer/entry. For a scale, I am 5 ft 7 and that fireplace is above my head when I stand next to it

House looks well worth restoring. I'm sure it will look amazing once you are done. My family restored an old house from 1780's and we have always owned it. We found a few surprises along the way. My ancestors had hidden time capsules under the floor boards and inside walls. Upstairs ballroom had a drop ceiling put in at one point. When we removed it, there was a hand-painted ceiling with a sky at night. Old houses are full of surprises. Maybe you find some in yours.
