A question about the Suite:

I panda a hit, and Hit Catcher finds it, but I'm not home or I miss it and it expires. Will HC panda it again automatically, or do I need to do it again?

Secondly, do you have sound in HC? Mine is turned on, but there's nothing, so I have to refresh Assigned Hits constantly. Kadauchi hasn't replied to me about this.

 

Interesting/crazy potential milestone. If I make at least $800 next week, it will be my 40th week in a row (dating back to the week ending Nov. 20 2016) with a Weekly Activity Report of at least $800...

I plan to slow down when I hit my "milestone-to-end-all-milestones", to wit, $250,000 lifetime (about 6 months of so away). THEN I'll smell the proverbial roses!

 

When are you writing the how to book?

 

It would be more like a pamphlet:

Work long enough to be around to get closed qualifications and eventually masters... then work 16 hours a day. Profit.

 

I'm quite happy with my $185.67. Which is maybe $5 of qual'd stuff, $10 from masters and $170 of toil and drudgery.

It was supposed to be $200, but 8 hours with no power yesterday removed any possibility of that. I enjoyed having most the day off.

 

I like it! Totally respect that.

The last time I made less than $50 in a day was in July 2014. Assuming it was the middle of the month, that's approximately 1133 days ago. lulz

I literally can't remember the last time I worked less than 8 hours in a day on mturk. And that includes Xmas, T-giving, birthdays, days where I had doctors/dentist appointments, car repairs, days under the weather, etc.

I rarely get sick, however.

Never had issues with power because I have two BIG APC battery backups. Literally can go an entire day with my backup battery power (never had to do it though).

Plus I have 6 laptops/tablets/2-in-1s and a couple of battery backups for those as well.

I'm thinking of getting a solar-powered portable generator in case of a natural disaster or something and need extended days of power!

 

I guess I got to stop being lazy and put my masters qualification to good use. 16 hours tho... :apologetic: Haha

 

I don't do a lot of batches but I know those category ones are almost all batches and even I do more than $10 of those most weeks. Total I would say Masters is between 25-50% of my MTurk pay just depending on how good the Masters HITs are that week.

 

It's definitely more qual than Masters I assure you. It's about stamina too. I don't think I could do anywhere near what froggy does even if I sat on Mturk for 16 hours and never took a break to post on facebook or watch Netflix and I had someone to bring me food and took my laptop to the toilet with me. It doesn't mean you are lazy either. I think anyone who turks more than 30 hours a week isn't lazy and has more discipline that most people. Back before MTurk stopped automatically accepting people I had a ton of people ask me how to get started. None of them lasted more than a month and that was with all the tips I gave them.

 

I guess I work best on familiar things.

A random cat batch where you basically get a queue full of 2 cent HITs and then the batch is gone and never to be seen again just isn't worth looking at for me. Ditto trying to make sense of Twitter babble and such. Or batches where every other HIT I am stopping and pondering the instruction wondering wtf they actually want. I like clear instructions. Anything that needs searching or opening web sites is iffy to start with given my crappy internet connection. Basically I see the masters batches, I just hate most of them.

Just a matter of taste. Most non-masters batches get ignored by me also. If this were my sole source of income it would no doubt be different. I can afford to be at least a little picky. Masters basically means the occasional extra survey and no captchas to me.

Edit: I probably return more surveys than anyone else on this forum too.

 

Most of my money comes from surveys as I can't seem to get a closed qual if my life depended on it. The last one I got was the OCMP qual for the Walmart weapons that never resulted in any batches being released. I would love to get something steady, another one of those was it a democrat or republican who said this, paraphrase this statement, hell even the non A9 shoe hits. Something. Anything.

 

So I got a part time job, so I won't have to rely on Mturk solely for income, which is great
