Tastes like blueberries and sugar but not beer. And at 8% alcohol it's stronger than the basic stuff. I wouldn't drink it but I know some people that don't like beer that enjoy it.
All the non beer drinkers should definitely try Crabbies. Alcoholic ginger beer. Yum. Makes a great Moscow Mule, too. Good cider is sublime. I've had a few of those root beers and they were okay. Nothing I'd want to drink regularly. Have you seen the newest thing, alcoholic seltzer? It's like some people just have too much money...
I probably only drink a few beers a year (more of a wine person). That being said, some of the pumpkin beers are pretty good.
I tried that hard root beer from Trader Joes, it was actually sort of tasty but I could only make it thru half a bottle, gave the rest to my mom. Their spiced cider isn't too bad either but I really am a lightweight when it comes to drinking. I'm drunk off two glasses of wine.
Wow does anyone here like beer?! I've tried a few different hard root beers and none were great. There's a brewery in town that makes a great peach beer. Leinenkugel's (sp?) makes a summer shandy that tasters like fruity pebbles. A couple of my non beer-drinking friends love it.
I just don't like the carbonated yeast taste in beer. Wine, I haven't found one I liked. I like some hard liquor. I like gin the best, mixed with lemonade.
^ Leinenkugel makes one of my favorites. Snowdrift vanilla porter, it's that time of year for it to be coming out again.
My drink of choice is beer. I love beer. This might sound really bad but sometimes when I want to drink, I would rather see a few cans of Ritas, or a wine bottle vs 6-10 beer bottles. I'm not sure why at 40, I still feel guilty.
