Yeah, same. CrowdSource has never steered me wrong before, but then again, I've never had my work with them judged by other turkers. I can afford some rejections, as I've only had one (and that was a ridiculous one), but it still sucks wondering.
They used to never do rejections. If they weren't happy with your work they would just give you that "Sorry there's no hits available to you" message. But some other people said in the last few months while I was away they actually started rejecting. I don't know if they were losing too much money or what their deal is.
Yeah, I've always found them to be a fair requester. Having other turkers judge my stuff makes me nervous though. Working with other turkers (present company excluded, of course) has always been an awful experience for me, especially those Matt Rubin HITs from a while back.
I have been doing 100-150 of the Find HiTs then working on the review ones. If you aren't comfortable with the Find ones just work on the review ones. I think those are more likely judged by CS themselves. Edit: And if you have a CS account make sure your logged in so you get the personal message if they decide to give you that warning I got.
Yeh I actually got a "mass" rejection from them. I have 16 total rejects and 6 of them are Crowdsource. It was from a batch of HITs "Categorize:Websites" which I have done tons of in the past with no problems. I asked them about it and they responded right away and they just told me that I labeled the websites incorrectly. Not much I can say since I did so many, can't really remember how I could have done 1 wrong, let alone 6.
Title: Survey on Internet risks Requester: Usability Lab University of Hannover [A2KTSRO5T2KXH2] (TO) Description: You will answer a survey on the risks you perceive during typical Internet use. Reward: $3.00 Qualifications: Masters has been granted, HIT approval rate (%) is not less than 95, Location is US Link: https://www.mturk.com/mturk/preview?groupId=260LVCNHMVHVSO26F4B2F4JC9ST027 Powered by non-amazonian script monkeys Took 10 minutes with lots of distractions for me.
I just got one of them approved on me and I recall last night some of them getting approved also. So these aren't normal working hours, so possibly someone is at home working. And from what I hear some of them are drinkers, makes me wonder if we got some drunk reviewers from time to time and after they make a mistake they don't correct it. Conspiracy theory much?
man has everything just dried up? The crowdsource twitter ones make me too nervous and their other ones I was doin are gone.
