More like Star Trek =/= Star Wars, they're both good but on different levels. Like the ST universe is what I hope the future will actually be like, although SW would be the way cooler one to live in.
Hey there, Usually I mostly lurk around the forum...but when the star wars discussion starts I gotta jump in lol
My argument is that they are... but having that opinion and expressing it is sure to get you gunned down.
I've seen the first LOTR.... and then it was SO LONG and boring that I refused to see the others. My college roommate TRIED to have a marathon with me... and I just couldn't do it.
High fantasy genre. Elves, orcs, war, rage, adventure, epic quest, magic, sorcerers, cool weapons, warriors, archers, my preeeciouuuussss, yada yada. That's the best plot synopsis I can do before coffee.
Is the first one the one that kept pretending to end but didn't really? And the audience kept packing shit to go and starting to get up and then it'd start up again? Or was that the second LOL. Funny as hell. Happened in my theater like 3 times.

Yup. Kind of thing I love, honestly. I'm the guy who waits till after the credits just in case of content.
Yep. And I find Star Wars more fun, but Trek more interesting on an intellectual level. But I really don't like how Abrams has dumbed-down the new Trek films.
