I hate Macs because they are so overpriced. They're hardware costs about 30% or more on average than it does on a windows machine. I'm a gamer so I'd rather build my own machine than pay for that crapple.
I'm a gamer and built my own desktop for that. But for my notebook I got a mac just for support. I'm 10min from an apple store and if I need need warranty service I take it in to the manufacturers store to a real person employed by the manufacturer and not a 3rd party call center, to get it taken care of. Same reason I am going back to iPhone with my next upgrade. Good luck getting timely or proper support from dell/hp/acer/etc.
HP has great customer support, I'd rather be a week without a computer to have it fixed by someone that is actually qualified to work on a computer. than to support an inferior product at a bloated price.
Fixed by someone who is qualified is HP in your scenario? I once sent an HP back for a broken keyboard, when it was returned the keyboard still didn't work and I had a larger hard drive with xp instead of vista that came with it. Inferior product? Sure you can get cheap windows laptops, but by the time you find one with the build quality of an apple laptop it's just as expensive. I think Mac Pro, mac mini, imac are all over priced, but macbook airs and macbook pro are solidly built machines that are comparable in price to equal PC notebooks.
I have 800 Dells and 450 HPs, for corporate accounts they're on it ASAP. Call it in, talk to a tech in the States then either have parts overnight or someone there the next morning. Oddly the tech we get sent for both HP and Dell here is the same guy, works for Unisys.
Dell has always been good about them. With HP they asked us to send some desktops back. When we threatened to yank the contract they decided to send a tech onsite. Cisco...now they are horrible to deal with. :\
So someone on facebook won't give the answer but says they got it right and it wasn't Niman Ranch, they said it is just one word.
