Anybody know why my endors won't play back after I've recorded them? I've never had any problems with them before.
have you checked your mic in the recording devices by right clicking your volume icon on your taskbar then choose your mic then properties, then check listen, then check box listen to this device
Did that thx - I can hear fine through the mic and speakers, the play button on the endor hit just doesn't do anything

I understand completely where you were coming from, and I am there with you on your perspective. I was merely offering a bit of my own insight on why, but I do agree that the way that things have taken off with such niches as unboxing" videos, though I think that the "Let's Play" videos make a bit more sense. A common element of LP videos is they feature commentary, and while I generally think that most LP videos are boring as all hell, there are occasions where a good bit of commentary makes the whole video worth watching. There's also the fact that people get a chance to see what a game is all about before they ever play it themselves, and maybe even eliminating the desire to buy it altogether. You can't honestly tell me that you haven't - at least once - played a video game, or watched a TV show/movie, or read a book, and after it was all said and done, been like "what the fuck was that?!". I mean, I guess you could, since I really don't know, but I think my point is clear; no one wants to waste their time on crap, and it's easier to get a taste of a bad game through spending a couple hours on YouTube, than to spend the time AND money on the game itself, only to find out that it's just as crappy regardless of whether you played or someone else did and you watched. But I think the biggest factor in LP videos being so popular is the commentary. Kind of like watching a mediocre comedian vs a good comedian. The bad guy has the audience falling asleep, while the good one can have everyone watching in stitches and begging for more. Good commentary goes a long way. Also, sure, our one or two views here and there aren't much, I wholeheartedly agree. BUUUUUTTTT, there are how many people on this planet? Over 7 billion. Now, in theory, one view from every person in the world is over 7 billion views, which turns into a nice little chunk of money. Sure, not everyone in the world can/will watch those videos, but then you factor in the die-hards that are - for example - simple minded and easily entertained with such silly nonsense. Or there are others who just cannot function without video games. Some people eat, sleep, live, and breathe video games, and when they can't get their hands on a game themselves, or beat all of them that they own, they turn to watching others. There are so many possibilities, I don't feel the human mind is capable of comprehending it all. And that's how we end up having discussions like these. lol
you're clicking the microphone to record, then clicking it again to stop recording, then playbacking correct?
