I feel for you about wisdom teeth. About 15 years ago, 1 became infected/impacted or something. The pain became unbearable within about 2 days. The pain woke me up at about 3 in the morning and I had to wait until about 8 am for the health clinic (I was in grad school) to open. They gave me painkillers and then, once the infection cleared up, I had all 4 removed. I had no problem/swelling with the surgery but the initial infection had me in tears.
I used to get abscesses on one side every few months. They would try to come through every few months... cause me a lot of pain and then be okay until the next time. I should have just gotten them removed when we had Tricare. But i would put it off when they weren't hurting of course I had one taken out in office last May and after that very horrible experience I asked for a referral to get the other 3 removed surgically. My top left one has been broke for 8 years. I thought it was a molar. Surprised me to learn it was actually a wisdom tooth. Another little piece of it fell off the other day :/ The lower left one is now either cracked or has a hole in it. Soon soon. Couple weeks and they should be out. I'm just glad I haven't had any pain or abscesses anymore in years. Those were horrible and scary too.
Dude, dat ending. I will fucking miss this man. -cries- Anyone that's got Wisdom issues, get 'em removed immediately. It's not worth it. I got mine out at 22. I had 3 impacted and 1 never came in. I just woke up one day and I felt like something was in my cheeks. There was some pain but I went to the public health clinic and got that shit removed.

Agreed, forget where I found him from. Not surprised, this guy really seems to know what he is doing. I think he's an Electrical Engineer, professionally, possibly retired. He does all sorts of crazy shit for my amusement.
