Chester See!! I love his cover of Wrecking Ball. Don't judge me.
As someone who has ongoing consultations with police departments, and has worked with them in the past... it's not funny in real life. Nor is it fun. After a while it all sort of fades into the same blur of sanity grinding files, investigations, and evidence. There are cases that stick out, but it stops shocking you. Offending, depressing, disheartening, sure. That's why I'm no longer in the physical, police station side of the business. Just the odd security gig and consultation for me now, thanks. Which reminds me, I should snap a pic of my new setup before I head out to my gig tomorrow. Triple displays. So sweet.
I have a professor who worked as a forensics examiner for years. She says that eventually, you get completely jaded. Nothing shocks you anymore. Told me about a time she reconstructed a folder from a damaged drive and found hundreds of pictures of a guy molesting/mutilating children as young as 2-3 years old, didn't even faze her anymore. That shit would haunt my nightmares...Thought about doing that as a career until I heard that story, I'm no longer interested. Edit: Also, where did everyone go? It went from talkative/joking to utterly silent in here XD
