Someone from the other forum wrote them a very polite letter explaining why their pay sucked. An hour later they raised the pay. Never underestimate the power of a polite, well written letter.
Sometimes I'm so out of the loop that I don't realize when drastic changes happen. I can't believe that Crowdflower -- that dreaded awful atrocious requester on Mturk, perhaps the worst -- is NO MORE. They are no longer on here! Couldn't believe it when I just read about it. Never really noticed since I always blocked them lol https://crowdflower.com/blog/2014/0...to-ensure-the-best-results-for-its-customers/
I think if I recall people were doing these even at 2 cents? I think they thought they were good. I havent done any though. You need to use facebook search.
Okay, I've finally gotten up the nerve to ask this n00b question... Does anyone know of any Using Scripts for Dummies sites or anything? I've been watching all of you for months, and I'm super jealous of all the scripts you use to get all these HITs and see your projected earnings, etc. and I just can't figure it out. I've seen the scripts some of you use, and even downloaded one, but I'm pretty much lost on what to do with it.
Quick Question or do you have the link where I can copy and paste the links to put on hear for good hits...I have it at home but at work right now.
As in make scripts? As in java scripts? Cause that would be *wind blows over his head* quality. I only find. That's what I do lol Usually the forum shares them too.
Yep. CrowdFlower was very far from being the worst requester on Mturk, though. CF was only a middleman for most of their HITs, so those HITs varied greatly as far as quality and content goes because different clients were behind them. I'm under the impression that CF is a popular go-to for people/companies who would have been known as terrible requesters on Mturk if only they had not been too lazy to set up the HITs themselves. Still, some very nice HITs had come from CF during their last several months on Mturk. Not sad to see them go, though. It's nice not to have the clutter of their crap on the search page.
Most of the scripts go through TamperMonkey if you're on Chrome or GreaseMonkey if you are on Firefox. This is the first extension that pops up when you click on the "Scripts" tab here. After you've installed that read down through which other scripts you think might be useful to you and enable them through there. The two essentials for me are "HIT database" and "Turkopticon." Hope that helps.
No no no. My head would explode if someone explained to me how to make them. I just want to be able to use them. Yes, use them. I am that challenged. Don't judge me.
I mean what dont you get? Just install tampermonkey for chrome or greasemonkey for Firefox. They are extensions? Easy to install. Then just find the scripts you like. Userscripts.org has a bunch. Hell they have some that are for other stuff too!
PM me and Ill try to help you Just ask awyyyyyyy dont be shy. I wont bite. Just might want to stick my tip in
