Neither are benign. The effects of one are much more immediate and deserve more present attention than the other; that's not the argument.

For what it's worth, I wasn't trying to piss anyone off. If something bothers you, it's much easier to approach me or anyone else for that matter in a friendlier fashion. I'm just going back to lurking for a while. I hate that I somehow manage to get under everyone's skin so much lately but I can't keep apologizing for being myself. I think this is my favorite part so far: It hitches in a few places, but it flames in enough others for balance, and more. It really does make me think of Fitzgerald's Odyssey translation - and it would have been a great shame if you hadn't written it, so much so that I feel the need to tell you so in public.
