It reflects poorly on all of us here, and the platform in general, to have requesters come in and see people talking about turking while drunk, high, etc.
I'm non-master and made $450 this week in addition to working a full time job. I'd say I put in around 30+ hours on mturk for the week. I guess it depends how much money you need to survive for how viable it would be.
$400 is far from a full-time income, but most masters if they turk full time can get $500-$700 in a week if they turk full-time with of course outlier weeks both below and above the norm. Last week only a few got above 500 from what I can tell.
Yeah we don't talk about being drunk or high while turking. You can talk about drinking itself but not during turking. Requesters come here and read this thread and may think they'll get poor data this way.
I think turking as a fulltime job is doable but I'm not at that level yet. I get too distracted by the internet and staring at the wall.
How did you manage this, then? I work full time, at least 50 hours a week. I Turk after work and before work, and I'm able to Turk at work for the most part, but I'm unable to put scripts onto my work computer. I'd really love to make a steady $200-$300 a week. Edit: I also work third shift, which makes it a little tricky because all the HITs seem to come out when I'm sleeping...
Was anyone able to go outside and see the Blood Moon. I went out few times trying to find it but my area has the moon blocked by trees and buildings. No luck for me. Was able to watch it live online at least.
As a high volume requester first and a turker on the side I take offense at this. But then again I wouldn't dare taint my research by allowing non-masters to touch it and I have strict qualifications for my workforce. Most requesters are poor grad students trying to write a paper for their meaningless research about feelings where I am more focused on cutting-edge research to enhance the planet which is why I care more about my workforce.
I can see it currently, It's very dark on one side, and slightly rust red in the middle with almost a sliver of dark cream/white on the opposite. Not as impressive as I was expecting, especially in perigee. =/
I just tried to go outside and see it and ended up stepping on a bunch of snails on accident. It rained about an hour ago, so the snails are out in full force.
I didn't think it looked all that impressive from my window. Stepped outside and I guess the glass makes enough of a difference because it looks much prettier outside! Lots of trees (yay for being tree city lol) to peek through. Pretty cool though
