Yep, I know. I was able to pick up a few $2 out of TM before they expired so it wasn't a total wash but I figure I probably lost $18.

 

Same. I missed out on a bunch of stuff in my queue but the aggravation was worse than the financial loss. This happens way too much and it seems it always happens to us and not anyone else.

I know, I wonder why? Whats so strange about is that when it happens its just a constant outtage. There is no up and down/working not working part. I have to believe other people out there are having it happen. Its not like I am a particularly high Turker either...I mean I usually only max out at 160 HITS a day. No reason to cut me back.

I love making something effing delicious for dinner that is timed perfectly for when my husband is supposed to be home...and then I burn my arm in the process, he doesn't come home, the dinner turns gross, and a mindless batch comes and goes while I toil away for nothing.

At least the power isn't out. I lost power on Saturday for about 4 hours. Ended up packing the family into the RV and headed to the beach. Animals sat in the RV and AC while we all went swimming.

 

I really doubt it's about throttling usage. I did think that for a second but it makes no sense.

It's not geographic since I'm in NY and you're in FL.

I just am concerned because it's apparently ONLY the two of us who are having issues. I checked a few other places online and none had mentions of this.

 

At least you're gonna get a banging refund of $1.62 if you bother to ask for it.

I have talked to Amazon about ten times in the last week and I am getting the collective "I dunno..." shrug. My only other thought would be if we were somehow on the same grid but there are more than a few other turkers between our two locations. Maybe chalk it up to just crappy luck?

 

I haven't called anyone about it. I figured their people would be useless if I called.

Oh I know they would/will be, but I dont know what else to do. I am generally a pretty passive, calm person however once I get annoyed there isn't much stopping me. The more angry I get the faster I talk and the complex my vocabulary becomes.

 

Thank goodness turk isn't on there. You know, a legitimate one where you actually can make dreams come true if you reach the apex of their worker classification system.

 

I think Clark's advice is usually dumb.

And I also hate the way he says "Iiiiiii'm Clark Howard!"
