I'm planning my expedition to Coney Island and want to know if I'm tall enough to go on the Cyclone. Have you been on this?

LOL I've been on the Cyclone many times actually. I took my great aunt on it years ago. She was yelling "Sacred Heart of Jesus!!! Help me! Save me!" the entire time. I try to go there every year or so now. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole this weekend though. Way too crowded.
I haven't actually been to the amusement park part since I was a little kid. I remember going with my father and sister, crying after the first ride and then leaving.
I think I've been there once. ONCE. Can you believe it? Once. Then again, I don't think I've ever been to Great Adventure even. I'm not much of a thrill seeker. Keep my damn feet on the ground where they belong.
I took a coworker's kid on the Airplane ride (see below). He was scared af but he liked it once it got going. I'll try anything once or twice. Freefall rides are my favorite though. Love the butterfly-in-the-stomach feeling.
You should try Great Adventure during Fright Fest. Shorter lines and much better temperatures. Plus, the haunted attractions are really fun, especially if you don't get into thrill rides. Also, Six Flags NJ is even open through Christmas now, coasters included. That's on my to-do list. I've done Fright Fest there and at Six Flags New England many times, but never the new Christmas fest they have.
Yeah, I remember going on Dare Devil Dive at six flags and it was fun. As long as I'm not the one that has to pull the chord to drop us.
Once is enough. That Cyclone feels like it's disintegrating under its own weight >.< Nopin' harder than if she addicentally switched over to the Discovery channel during Shark Week.
