Applied for mturk a couple of days ago,was reviewed and got rejected Guess no Indians eh. Was really looking forward to this as this is a hard time for me. Meanwhile if someone has a workaround to help me secure an mturk account I would be grateful. Happy turking guys
What can I do about a qualification I've earned that isn't showing up? I am trying to find out what I can do about the fact that I passed the CrowdSource writer II qualification, and yet a month later, I am still unable to do HITs on it. The HITs are not even available to me. The place where it says 'View a HIT in this group' is not available for me to click on. I know there are HITs available with CrowdSource for writer II, but not one of them is available for me to click on. I started a help ticket, but the representative did not answer the question I asked. Can you help me with this? I really want to do these HITs!

Hi Guys, I am new to mturk and i have a problem to deal. I am currently working on oscar smith cards and same cards are repeating even after i typed more than 20 cards. So can i continue to type the same repeating cards or is there any issue with my browser. Regards, Rajesh

Good evening everyone, thank you for adding me to this group. I am new to Mturk work, and before last week had never even heard of it. I am sure it has been asked 100 times in this thread, and I did scan through several pages before my eyes started crossing..lol. Are there any tips or tricks to getting the best bang for the buck so to speak. I have spent almost all day on mturk and have only made $16 I would love to do at least $20 to help our household budget, but I won't be able to sit here all day just to do $20. Is there something I am missing? I saw that there were transcribing hits that pay 20-30 but I don't qualify for them and I'm not real clear what I need to do to qualify for them. I'm not here to make it rich..lol.. just need to make about $600 a month to cover our insurance. I appreciate any help you can give. Thanks Tracy
Tracy, the money you make improves as your number of approved hits increases. It doesn't happen right away, but if you have patience, you will get there. I started a month ago and found my earnings increased with each small milestone. Using different scripts helped tremendously. In the beginning, my goal was 7 dollars spread over a four hour period. After I made that, I went up to 10, and now it is 15. You will reach your goal, it just takes a bit of time to get there.
One of the important things that I've come to learn about turking is that it's a skill. And being a skill, if you practice it daily, you get better. - Learn about scripts and browser plugins. Important. To get started, look for the link at the top of the page. That's only the beginning though. Pay attention to people's signature area of their posts. Sometimes they have links to helpful things. - Experiment with different browsers (Firefox and Chrome) - Practice your typing (not pecking). Download or purchase typing software. Learn to type properly. If you already know, then get better at it. The Crowdsurf transcription HITs are perfect for getting paid to practice your typing. - Your health is a key component to making more money. Eating the wrong thing at the wrong time can cost you money. For me, eating something that's too salty and heavy in the middle of the day will effect my energy and cost me money. I work best when my body isn't processing lots of food. Light snacks are great, especially fresh vegetables and nuts. - Do the math to determine your goals and numbers you need to meet to achieve those goals. Always pay attention to how long it's taking to do things to figure out how long it will take you to reach your goal at that current pace (yes, the dreaded word problems from school). If you don't know how, search and ask. - Scan through the forums for HIT suggestions and little tips. However, don't let it become a distraction from turking, unless you've aleady reached your goals. - Expect weekends to be slower, so plan accordingly. - Get enough sleep (six hours seemsm to work well for me). Working around the clock can make a difference in the short-term, but it could come at a big price later on. I recently worked around the clock (with some nap intervals) and it was good, however, it really hurt my energy levels for several days afterwards and cost me money. I won't be doing that again. YMMV. - Pay attention to little details of your workflow where you might be able to shave off a few seconds. Spend some time looking, asking about, and testing different techniques, scripts, browser plugins, utilities, etc. that may help. - A good-sized monitor helps (two are better). Computer specs (memory amount, cpu speed, power of video card) can make a difference in how much money you can make. Faster screen updating and the ability to have more browser tabs and applications open without bogging down the computer is important. Of course, these things cost money to acquire or upgrade, so they become a part of your turking goals. - Track your goals on a spreadsheet. These are just a few things that I've learned. There's much more to learn. But, you take it one thing at a time and improve. If you're just starting out and bringing in $16 then you're already on the right track. You just need to tweak a few things. You have to really analyze what and how you're doing it, first, then experiment. I think the magic formula is different for everyone. It's kind of like dieting, I guess. Good luck!
Thanks, I type pretty well, around 36-40 wpm depending on the day although some days my fingers are very dyslexic. I am pretty clueless when it comes to the scripts and browser plug ins, so if you could point me in the right directions I would appreciate it.

I am trying to find a script specifically for the CrowdSource Rank of Website HITs, I was told via reddit that a moderator at these forums wrote the script. It allowed you to highlight text and answer their questions without all of the copying and pasting. I have an old version of the script that doesn't work (the one with the Youtube tutorial), and I've been searching the net and finding snippets of people talking about a newer version that works. Userscripts is currently down and I haven't been able to find anything in the cache for the website. Any help is insanely appreciated!
I completed my 10th day of activity yesterday but my earnings are still on hold and I'm not sure if the 100 HIT per day limited has been lifted or not. Does it take time for funds to be released? Right now I am still getting the message that I will not have access to my money until after my 10th day. This is Day 11 for me, so I'm a bit confused.

Hai.. I withdraw my earnings on May 03,2014. stil i am not got any check or Indian rupee exchange email. I massaged so many times (more then 50 msgs) but they always sending auto generated emails . no responds from Mturk. What i do next..?
okay I may be a little dense buuttt...what does DB mean? I was looking at a rating in TO, "click on DB" was mentioned for avoiding rejection for a hit already done...I think!! Can you help?? Is this even the right method to ask this??
I believe it might be the Hit Database script. Click on the Scripts tab at the top of the forum page.
As far as I know, there's no script that will automatically accept hits from the forum. When people say they "put something on auto accept", what they're actually doing is altering the URL and using an auto refresher to catch things. You can change a normal preview to an accept link by changing https://www.mturk.com/mturk/preview?groupId12345678 (at the beginning of the HIT URL) to https://www.mturk.com/mturk/previewandaccept?groupId12345678 (emphasize is mine.) If you click on a preview and accept link, it automatically accepts. So if there is a hard to catch HIT you can change the preview link to a preview and accept link, then use an auto refresher (Like Reloader or Auto Refresh Plus) to keep refreshing the link. If the HIT comes up again, the refreshing page can "catch" it and you can find it in the "HITs assigned to you" tab. You have to monitor your HITs assigned tab pretty closely, but it's well worth it.
I am fairly new to mTurk, having submitted my first HIT on the 11th. I have submitted at least three HITs everyday since and including the 11th yet today my earnings are still being held due to the 10 day probation. I have already completed ten full days of HITs, why aren't my funds released? I appreciate the help!
