I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but I thought I would try (I also read through several posts but not all so I'm sorry if this has been asked). Sometimes when I click "View a HIT in this group" it just comes up as completely blank. Anyone know why? I've tried 2 different browsers now.
this looks like you have to contact amazon and ask them directly. if you do at leats 1 HIT daily in your first 10 days you should be unlocked it is a "security" aspect of the browsers. if this happens check the address bar for a shield icon (right corener for chrome and left corner for firefox). this will allow untrusted scripts and you should be able to see the HIT
Hello, I am fairly new on MT . I have worked 12 days consistent long hours every day. My question is I have now around 50 Dollars that I would like to transfer to my bank account. Which is on my MT account. When I try to transfer the money, there is only 1 option. Only to transfer it to the amazon gift account. Which I do not want. I have sent MT 2 emails regarding this but yet no reply. I cannot change it on the personal settings. Anybody same problem ? Thanks for replies Elle
Hello! I am brand new to MT. I'm in grad school and trying to make some spare money to support myself! I just started last night and made $6, but that's definitely not going to support me! I appreciate any help anyone can give for people who are brand new to fit good HITs that I'm qualified for or info on how to get qualified for better stuff. Who should I look for and who should I avoid? Should I be searching for a specific pay rate? Respond or PM with any help. I need to make at least $300/mo, but it would be great if I could do more than that... I know some of you guys pull that in a day!
welcome to AMT and the forum. 300$/m are not that difficult. keep an eye on this section to find the daily good HITs. next step is to get familiar with scripts, Monica made a good guide here if you follow the great HITs threads, you will learn really fast which requesters/quals are important. For now the best advice is to do as many of your 100HITs/day in your probation period. There are serveral milestones that open some good requesters with 1k, 5k and 10k approved HITs

I´m not 100% sure how Indians can retrieve their funds from AMT. I think you have to make a cheque transfer. There is no way to transfer funds from amazon.com to other amazon departments
I am a new user and wanted to ask for suggestions on the best way to get started transcriptions. I am a very fast typer and a quick learner, and like most, am trying to earn some extra cash online through transcribing work... I'm starting out with SpeechInk and am in the process of "reviewing" the guides and trying to learn the format, so I can take the qualification test and get jobs... However, so far, I'm really confused about which style guide to use, if its verbatim or non-verbatim, how to set up hotkeyz, and basically, just the best way to get started. If there is a website or book that I can buy to get me on the right track that someone has to recommend, please let me know! Any advice/input/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!
don`t make it too difficult. read the guidelines for the requesters and follow them. you do not need special books for this. if you kepp with the good requesters (CastingWords, SpeechInk, crowdsurf support) you do not hae to worry much. simply read their rules and stick to them. They are simple and for most parts similar. the rest is constant work and rereading guidelines if you are unsure.
If you want to get started with Speechink, I found it best to do the 1 to 2 minute verbatim transcriptions (read the insurance format guide). They will be reviewed and graded by their dedicated reviewers. Once you get a high enough rating, you will see more work from them. Also, you will need to get their tier 2 confidentiality qualification. It's just basically signing off on the fact that you won't use the information found in their files, and that you'll delete them within a certain time period.
Thanks for the advice! I'm in the process of completing the Speechink qualification test, a 6 minute A & E documentary about parolees. Doing ok so far, just been referencing the style guide & websites constantly! I did have one question if anyone could help! In regards to speaker identification, it says to use <sp>UNKNOWN</sp> when the speaker isn't identified, but I read somewhere else to identify them by their role. For example, when transcribing a courtroom scene with the judge speaking to the convict on trial, should I use <p><sp>Judge</sp></p> and <p><sp>Convict</sp></p>? Or do I use the tag UNKNOWN since technically, these speakers weren't identified? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
rule of thumb: if you can get a fix role for them to take or a name, use this. if it is a conversation between two people use the unknown text. e.g. an interview with an athlete would gets tags <sp>[Interviewer name]</sp> and <sp>[athlete name]</sp>. if i would sneek into a conversation of you and someone else it woud be <sp>loremarie81</sp> and <sp>unknown</sp>, unless i can identify the other person as your g/bf, mom, dad, sibling, etc
Oh, sweet Jay-bus. Good luck with that one. I've submitted that test three times, and haven't heard back on the qualification, yet. Good on ya if you get it, there seem to be a ton of video tagging jobs out there that have been out there for a while ... and you get 7 days to get them finished. I'm sorry I didn't see your post until just now, but you need to use the "UNKNOWN" tag in those instances, unless you know the name of the person who is speaking (some of them are identified later in the video, which would need to be changed retrospectively).

Hi, I often see Hits that say 'Private' or 'Invite Only'. I was just wondering how do you get invited??
Sometimes they are a follow up to a hit one has done for that requestor. It could also be that they are only accepting certain people that have worked for them in the past. It also could be compensation for a hit one did that ran out of time or had technical issues.
