I noticed I accepted the men survey to I am usually pretty careful about that stuff. Don't know how I missed that.
There are two types of countries. 1. Those who use the metric system. 2. Those who have been to the moon.
I don't have the script but there is a survey up by daniel j. howard for 50 cents took me less than 2 minutes
I learned something this weekend that I feel compelled to tell everyone about. Friday night I was grating cheese and I got distracted and grated the skin off the tip of my finger. Gross, right? Anyway, it wouldn't stop bleeding. I tried compresses, squeezing it, putting flour and baking soda on it, nothing worked. After about 45 minutes of failed attempts, I called the nurse hotline for my insurance. They went through a checklist with me and then told me that I needed to be seen by a doctor immediately. It was 11:15 pm and the only thing open was the ER. I was NOT going to go to the ER because I shaved a chunk out of my finger on the cheese grater. So I googled it. I read something on a message board and someone said, "Try putting cayenne pepper on it." At this point I was desperate to avoid the ER, so I tried it. It worked! It worked immediately, in fact. It was really quite amazing. I've read it saves heart attack patients too. Google it!
That's actually really fucking cool. Not the you grating off part of your finger, but the whole pepper thing working.
I think both systems have their benefits. I use both and find that pounds and feet/inches when measuring humans is pretty convenient. And fahrenheit is a really nice scale for measuring temperature on earth. For everything else, metric makes more sense because it's much easier to convert units. I think 'murica has it right. Imperial has better scales for everyday things, metric is better in most work and science applications where conversions are necessary.
