that was another thing I was going to ask do quals just get awarded to you or are there test you have to take? If so I will take test now .
No the issue is its not based on completed it is based on accepted. So you can accept 100 hits per day but this means if you return any hit or any hit expires on you you will not be able to have 100 hits completed.
You are allowed to accept 100 hits while on probation, returns and abandoned hits still count as accepted.
Can I just request the "Categorization Masters" qual, or do I need to do something before I request it? Will they deny me if I just request it, the qual said no test was required? thanks

so where can I go to take test for quals on mturk? is there a place I have to go or do they just give them to me after a while ?
you can request it all you like, but Masters comes when Amazon decides they feel like giving it to you. no one knows exactly how or when or why those quals are granted.
This is a complicated question. Largely there are 3 types of quals. Quals can either be autogranted, their can be a test, or the qual can be closed. Autogranted quals are exactly like they sound you request them and then they are given to you. Tested quals you request and then you have to take a test if you get above a certain score you now have the qual to do the hits. Often times these test will allow retakes after a certain amount of time The last is closed, closed quals are not granted when you request them and you cannot take a test for them immediately. So some of them have a qual batch posted and then depending on how you do on that batch you will get the qual stuff like OCMP does this. Others just have normal batches and then after a while from those people who did well on the batch they will give some a qual. The last are basically closed forever as far as we are aware having granted their quals in the long long ago so Taste of the World or things of that nature. Sadly don't think anyway to find out how the qual is granted without just blindly requesting it. If it says theres a test you can take that if it says there's not that might mean its autogranted.
we are all trying to get quals. A lot of times a requester will post a qual batch first. Some are auto granted and some you have to take a test. Sometimes you have to do so many hits of a qual batch and if you score high enough you will be granted a qual. Edit: like twirdman said. lol getting tired and slow

Just for visuals incase these are buttons you should look for or you can see them when you expand the hit. No real harm in requesting quals but if it is not autogranted or tested then it doesn't do anything.
