Yeah, eventually fiber optics will run everywhere and none of this **** will matter, potentially. I feel like most companies are really going to have hit us in the pockets now, because say in 10 years or so, the entire tech/information world will be completely different and moving away from the very outdated model that they present us with.

Don't expect logic in pricing and competition from Comcast. They think they're untouchable right now. Google Fiber is gonna have to expand nationwide for them to care if a few people switch based on their crappy policies. They're one of those companies that is just so out of touch with the way technology works now that it is unbelievable.
