Exactly. I love science and doing experiments with the kids but I loathe the fairs. I can't even stand going to them. I looked at my kid's and said okay awesome, let's go home. lol I find nothing enjoyable about them at all. Thankfully in elementary school here it's voluntary each year until 5th when it's required. (and I don't even think we do them in middle because I don't remember my oldest doing it at all or hearing about it. Just asked the one middle schooler I have and she said she doesn't know lol) I remember when my 6th grader did one in Kindy. It was basically us parents working on it for the most part and I also had my own midterms at the same time to be doing. But hey... that was a kickass cocoon we (I) made.
Some of my best memories are of my mom and I making shitty science fair projects. It was actually fun for me as a kid, though I can see how it would suck for parents.
My scraper has been on INVERTED for MONTHS NO WONDER I AM NOT GETTING ANY HITS ALL I AM GETTING ARE THE OLDEST HITS

I remember making the volcano. Yes, we really did that. I think my dad was more excited than my brother and I were to test it out. We made a colossal mess but laughed for days.
It gets better when they are in middle school because I can help my daughter refine her ideas (and there is a surge of joy, as fleeting as it is, when my 12 year old says, "Mom, my science fair idea doesn't give me quantifiable data. Can you help me change it so that it does?" I know that when I was twelve I didn't have any idea what quantifiable data is) and provide materials but she just does it.
It was put there to hurt Arby It's pretty amazing I made any money just looking at the oldest HITs though I want a medal
Yeah, I kind of want to email him and beg him to go back to 60, as it had the fewest drawbacks. Even at 7 minutes I still get a few that expire, but with 60 I don't have to wait and only once or twice did it hiccup and result in too much wait time. Most of the time it was a smooth 5-16 seconds per hit. I fear pissing him off, though, since he seems to be done with the issue.

Got my first PA rejection. Almost figured that would happen when I saw I got only one question: "Unfortunately, the participant rushed and did not read the description of the survey, where it's clearly stated, that the survey is to be taken "if and ONLY IF" the participant has used a device like the one being asked about! The survey as several ways to test if the participant as used it or not. The first is just asking if the participant has used it, if the answer is 'No' the participant is redirected to the end of the survey, giving a completion time lower than 1 minute." I almost want to inform him that no one reads the descriptions on the surveys, because the descriptions are on the accept page and by the time you've read it, it's gone. Someone has already swiped it out from under you. There were no such instructions in the survey itself, but I figured that might happen anyway. PA basically encourages you NOT to read the instructions.
You might be able to report this because they are not supposed to screen you out in the survey as per the rules of PA The whole point of PA is to be pre-qualified
