Oh, yeah, I was busy not giving a fuck about mturk at the time, so I dodged that bullet. Like others said, it sounds like something that's going to be reversed though. This reminds me of that guy who blocked all of us last year, on Christmas Eve.
so, while we're discussing mturk, maybe i'm out of the loop--since the fee increases were so that they could perhaps upgrade their service, have there been any announced changes? i realize that it's not been a long time since july, but they could surely at least give some sort of vision, anything to make it seem like they're a cohesive/competent team that has a strong direction they're going about in an efficient way
I have a bunch of ncp research in my history, but nothing since this summer and didn't get the block. It really is too bad that people torch TO before trying to get it fixed, it's obviously a "don't take the next survey" attempt.
Between this and Survey Research, I don't know if I have the heart to keep turking through the end of this year. Nor do I have faith in Amazon's minions to recognize that both of those blocks have been overturned before suspending me and/or others.
They increase the number of hits we could see per page. That's the only change I've noticed. Totally worth it
They added something so unneeded and stupid on the requester side that I can't even remember what it is right now. And they added the ability to see 100 results per page on the worker side. That's it as far as I know.
blocked by ncp research as well how do we contact them. Really worried about account suspension as amazon does not really care. Was also blocked by survey research. Thanks
Title: Quick Survey Monday, December 14, 2015 Requester: Nate Hodges [A1AQHR31NR4J6N] (TO) TO Ratings: ☢☢☢☢☢ 3.00 Communicativity ☢☢☢☢☢ 4.18 Generosity ☢☢☢☢☢ 5.00 Fairness ☢☢☢☢☢ 4.83 Promptness Number of Reviews: 29 (Submit a new TO rating for this requester) Description: Please take a look at a few questions and provide us with your thoughts. Time: 19 minutes Hits Available: 1 Reward: $0.17 Qualifications: HIT approval rate (%) is greater than 90, Location is US
...and they made that change where if your only earnings for a given day are bonuses, the day still shows on your account (even if you have 0 HITs submitted). Super small change but at least it shows there's active development going on I guess.
Survey Research removed the blocks, so theirs don't count. It's pretty obvious this one was to prevent retakes, several people have messaged them, so just be patient. They'll either remove them, or they won't, but really another message won't do much.
They've been doing user study interviews from workers for a month or so now. I did mine on Friday, and I know a few others who have yet to do them. I'm sure it means they're doing SOME work on the worker side.
I don't know what's worse, the fact that this is an out-and-out lie, or the plural nouns with apostrophes.
