It said you can hit crowd if there are like more than 25 people and you would actually have tou bind all those faces. There were a couple I hit crowd on when there was a clear person in front, because there were also about 50 faces behind her that would be boxed. Those are ok to hit crowd on. Not just if there is clear focus just on one person. You still have to box the others as well, but they don't expect us to do that for 25 people or more.
It may come across as crazy, but the idea of opening up the hits and assigning quals to low quality workers to keep them out isn't exactly crazy.
LOL, they repeat the debates all night and probably into tomorrow. Just gonna miss the first hour. Season premiere yo. AHHHHH!!!! *fangirling*
The clicking on my mouse is so screwed right now I probably can't do one in under 10 mins. And I tried one yesterday and it felt like I did 25 images before the hit was over. Have fun, make monies.
Racenote has already mentioned they were scammed in the past when they let everyone do them. Why waste money and time sifting through the idiots just to figure out who to block? OCMP, Dodd, Two Lakes, you name it have used qualifications for including good workers, not excluding bad ones and I'm sure they're very happy with their results. There were a few other points of nuttiness in that wall of text but I'll digress.
I've been leaving the transcribing text box blank and writing a note in the comments field. The different ways workers are handling blank audio does kind of bring up a point... your transcriptions have been rather light on instructions. Sometimes that's a good thing, but other times it leaves us uncertain about what to do in the case of (for example) blank audio or a transcription which is partially intelligible and partially garbled. I work a regular full-time weekday job, so having a large batch of predictable, fairly compensated HITS on the weekend has definitely been welcome.
We could look at changing the instructions to be more complete. We catch blank audio with no text, too. It's just easier with blank or # for us.
I really hope this isn't the same driver who brought my cheesy breads last night. I don't want to look like an addict or something.
We always have the same two guys whenever we order Dominos and it embarrasses my 16 year old. One of them is just weird. It's amusing to us that the same guy has been making our pizza (according to teh pizza tracker and the signed boxes) since 2009. He's a Dominos lifer.
Hmmm. Actually, I have been thinking that if a pizza place would hire me, I would like to be there a while making pizzas. I love pizza, and getting paid to learn to make pizzas well and at a good pace would be freaking awesome. I just don't really have the cash or the time to sit around drilling on pizza-making.
