That's exactly what I did. I took the magnifying mirror and tweezers to see if the waxing missed any hair. Thank you. My first instinct was to panic, to feel insecure. I guess it's weird because I would never say anything to him to make him question his appearance. But like you said, maybe it could be something positive.
All this talk about waxing and interpersonal communication and it leads me to a question. Why is it that, even though I have known my wife for nearly 20 years, when I say something to her about her body, past, future, work, kids, well... anything about her, it is instantly taken personally and nearly to a level of a fight. Not just her, but almost any woman I known is like this. I figured after 20 years of knowing her and every inch of her body, yet I am still here should be proof enough that I am not saying or suggesting anything just so I can be an asshole. I guess I will never know...
My first instinct is just to say "lol, women", but I'm sure it 99% comes down to how you say it. What works for you (whether it's trying to make light of it, be matter-of-fact, or whatever) probably just hits her ears as the worst thing ever. That seems to be the source of a lot of communication problems between men and women.
How unwise is it to do a bunch of endor HITs with an English accent? I can do all sorts of great English accents.. However, what is the likelihood that they'd cross reference our worker IDs, or do something like that to see if we weren't natural Brits? I doubt they will, but losing out on all the potential future endor batches is not worth the 20 or so bucks we could get from this batch. Not to mention, if they also chose to reject... hundreds of rejections would be heart-breaking.
Honestly, I can do it to. Thought about it. Don't know if you could just get away with having a brittish friend or not. But my daughter did a few of the endors I did last batch and I am fine and dandy. So, I doubt the cross reference the voices with the IDs. But... There is that one time they could check. YMMV I guess. I'm not chancing it though.
I don't think she is blatantly saying to scam, but I'm sure the thought has crossed some readers or lurkers minds and she pointed out some very good reasons why you shouldn't. That, and it is just plain wrong. But... If people are going to cheat the system, a small block of text wont change that. But then again, maybe this will help.
People were already mentioning faking their accents a few hours ago in this thread. I was hoping that they would answer. I have not done any of those endors, for the record. If I had, I wouldn't have asked about it so 'publicly.'
I wasn't accusing you, just saying it's probably not good to talk about faking the accent. Since they are using it for vocal recognition, it's basically worthless to fake the accent since they need to detect the slight differences in a real accent.
Btw imo that Endor batch is either getting mass rejected(unlikely) or everyone is getting approved. No way google is going to listen to 1000s of individual hits to make sure every person who submitted a hit is British or not.
