I have done it in the evening on a Sunday night and it is in my account at 8:00 the next morning. For some reason this only works on Sundays. Every other day it has to be in before 3.

Withdraw to a bank account and then donate it. Or google to see if you can use amazon payments to directly pay a charity

The idea is to have a separate thread each day where batches can be posted. They could/would still be posted on here, but batches are much harder to find than surveys on mTurk. Also, a lot of the "chatter" comes from people discussing the batches. 2 birds, one stone.

EDIT: This came off way too matter-of-factly. Sorry. How about we try this for a 2 or 3 days, run a poll, then go off what the poll says?

I don't think that anybody in here is neglecting to understand what the idea is, Cowfin. For those of us who like to kinda just keep one tab open for checking in throughout the day, having to jump between two threads would be a pain in the ass AND cut into time otherwise spent turking. If that's an idea some people in this forum want to run with, cool. Those of us who prefer one thread can stay in one thread and post batch HITs as well. I suppose the success of the idea will be demonstrated by the popularity of the separate threads over the matter of a few days.

Yeah - it should be really straightforward. Lots of charities accept Amazon Payments (`cause Amazon gives them a big fat discount) so you should just be able to Google it.

I think that we should test it out for a few days, then run a poll on monday and see what the general consensus is. That way, the possibility got tested, and we can move on.

Sorry for coming off the way I did on my original post about this.

I just used four words, otherwise some wouldn't make sense, but honestly, I missed it too.

I've had it as fast as same day. (Not from Amazon but elsewhere.)

There are too many variables to determine a certain speed. I just transfer my money to a specific bank account for all the surveys and Mturk money I make.

I like this idea, as long as the batches are still posted here as well. But I also like the witty banter back and forth about the batch hits. (Taggered ones especially ;) )

I am still undecided on this one...
