I'm under the impression they're not exactly pouring money into MTurk. I wasn't turking long enough to know, but isn't it still essentially the same thing it was when it started? Same features, same layout. I think the only maintenance I've seen them do must've been some minor compatibility fix because there was no visible upgrade. I don't think there's much in the way of a dedicated MTurk support team, either. They own the servers its hosted on, so that's not a big deal for them either. (Sometimes I honestly wonder if they've just been using MTurk to promote the use of Amazon Payments.)
Nah we're over 200K hits up and last year there were times where there were under 100K and Turk is still here. It's pretty much meaningless.
That's really well thought out, maybe in the morning i will if I remember to. It's just frustrating because their bull crap excuses can possibly scare potential requesters from using mTurk. The first script I installed was a hit blocker and it was specifically used for CF, their stupid off site qualification requirements and poopoo pay compounded with how they flooded the hits was awful.
Lucky stiff on the movie qual. I put in a request for the qual. I will just sit back and see what happens. The first part of the day. I tried to knock out a couple surveys. No good. they was all gone. Though i looked in my email and found an invitation to a zhing tang survey. So i did that a little bit ago. and waiting for it to approve. So the survey just brought me a little under of the quota. So no biggie.
Doesn't seem to be any point to leave a comment since nobody but CF themselves will see it. I want to leave something nastier but it would probably just entertain them.
