I went through the same thing a while back For me it was also the Auto Refresh Plus extension (they removed it from the store) but through my research I found that there were many extension that did the same thing, sorry can't find the list. The best thing I can advise is to disable all your extensions then turn them on one by one, with some time in between to make sure the problem doesn't appear. I miss my auto refresh plus edit: hmm it may be back in the chrome store edit 2: yea, got my auto refresh plus back, clean with no more malware I also tried an extension called Extension Defender, not sure if it works but it didn't find any malware on the extensions I have.
Probably already mentioned, but if you go to where it lists all programs, you might see something there you don't recognize. Could also be hidden in the Chrome folder.
I know this is now an hour old so you've maybe heard from her by now, but from what I heard, Cherry Grove area was okay and that it was just more precautionary closed roads. They got "lucky" compared to the middle part of the state.
