Yay now i meet all the qualifications to do this messed up RnRs everyone keeps talking about...It is a slow day.
lol, I did this on mine earlier this evening and it took about 3 minutes. Gotta love the SSD drives, biggest upgrade difference I have ever seen in performance!
I just got on a few pages back so I don't know. Has anyone told you to check the IPv4 settings in the network connection properties? I'm beat for the day, just throwing that bit of info out there.
It's been 2 months since I tried it, but if I remember right, yes. It tells me it can't connect, then gives me troubleshooting options which consist of yellow exclamations about plug in a network cord and this network is hidden. Even with open networks at coffee shops, etc. But in the original screen that shows the found networks, no.
Here's a link to how to check them. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/change-tcp-ip-settings If you haven't been told to change them by the owner of the network, the average user should leave them at obtain automatically, that will give them better compatibility on more networks. EDIT: changed some words to make it more in general, and not specific to this situation, since I haven't been following along long.
