I'm noticing that too. But that doesn't tell me what WILL cut it. XD Anywho. Shutting up now. I don't mean to derail the thread. :3 Back to looking for needles in haystacks.
It's the same question that gets asked day after day! I'm not trying to be rude but as I stated I don't have any special qualifications, I don't turk during the "good part" of the day, I don't even have access to a bunch of the big batches. I just read what everyone was saying, put it all together in a way that worked for me and have been chugging along happily for the last 2 weeks. I'm excited because today is my first day with over 5000 approved which seems to be making it a lot easier to earn money.
Think efficiency. What can you do to be more efficient. I make min. 20 bucks a day. This 20 comes to me, I never have to hunt it down. During the busy season ( yes turking does have it's busy times) i'll easily do 50+ a day. The best part I don't have to hunt down any hits. Think outside the box. Stop doing surveys for a while, see what you can learn. I'll tell you more and maybe be of some help, maybe not. Right this second my pasta is done!!!
Not true. There was some requestor who posted about 18 surveys in a row over 2 days that took about 13m each with a script to do. Each was 2$. Was nice, even if it was the most annoying surveys EVER
i log on, look through the most expensive hits im qualified for. I look for gems $1.00 and up. i go on this forum and see if other people found good .99-.05 surveys. I queue them up and accept depending on their time alloted. 60 minute and above are great because I can accept them and worked on a bunch of .20 or .30 surveys (which generally have shorter timers) and then come back and finish the rest. while im working on my surveys I keep my eyes on the batches that pop-up (the ones I like and already know). During all of this, I have check4check script running on 3-4 batch requestors like product rnr, venue quality, and others
Speaking of, as someone who is just over 1,000 hits myself...is the fall going to be better than now in terms of quality hits?
You are no failure. I myself have never liked being around most of humanity. I only peek out of my cave for genuinely friendly folks. I have always been a homebody type, except for when I get a chance to do world travel. Working online is a great way to make a living with a shy personality.
Are you thinking of Talent Research? That was a beautiful week back in May, and then Yigal Attali's grading hits all the next week if I remember correctly.
At the beginning of summer, someone days that the see how much they make go down like 20% I believe it was so I'd think fall would be better.
The advice I was given when I started was, "learn how to find good HITs". Well, I have. I have spent two months learning. I now have a decent system. I have a hard enough time trying to catch HITs that are posted here because of all the lurkers who like to nab them but never contribute....so, I'm not really inclined to share how I find things with those same lurkers. I put in all of that work to learn how to turk better and I guess I get a little peeved when someone wants the easy way. Stick around, see what people do, see little things people say here and there, look around the actual HIT database and play around with it. You will learn. But outright share, step by step? No, not when there are more lurkers than members.
I do a lot of surveys...much less batches than most on here. I go to work at 8:00am and before I leave for work I queue up some 24 hour time alloted HITS and do them after work. you begin to learn how to juggle multiple surveys and not have to abandon any. You wanna keep checking for and accepting good ones while doing good ones
You're simply amazing. Wow. Well, even after thoroughly researching, I suppose my brain just isn't up to snuff. I've been unable to make heads or tails of what I should truly do. XD But transcription is alright. I can average about $4 per hour with it if I reeeaaalllly try and if they have a lot up (I do Speechink). I only have 1K HITs and I've been at it for a few months. Writing isn't my thing and transcription wears on my hands after a while. But I haven't tried batches, or the golden list people tell me about. I'd be ecstatic to make $20 per day, though. Oh how wonderful that would be. Good for you, though! That's impressive and amazing. I just had to say thanks for your advice.
I don't think my circumstances differ from yours (When I work, I don't wait). The results are different, however. So what's the variable? Most likely process. I'm confident my efficiency doesn't match yours, so I think it's reasonable to wonder why -- and I've found some good advice here for wondering so. Now to catch a second wind.
