The SmartPost/SurePost whatever it is that Amazon uses is slow, but I have no real issues with USPS in general. My mail carrier is awesome. She's always here by 9am and knocks on my door when I have a package.
My mail carrier has stopped leaving my packages for some reason and leaving missed delivery slips and she didn't even bother doing that yesterday. The tracking is saying that its at the post office for pickup. I would rather just pay a little more and have UPS deliver it.

My Amazon packages always are delivered by UPS. And they are a pain in the ass big time. Twice they have fucked me up. Last Christmas they delivered my Kindle Fire for my son and just put the box up on a post on the fence by street. No one stole it, but it got chewed up by the dog. Amazon replaced it after I mailed the chewed up one back. Then a month or so ago I ordered a prime item, and Amazon mailed it on time and did everything right. UPS held it in the next town over for 4 business days and a weekend with no explanation. Keep in mind, other items in my order were delivered on time, just the 1 package. I can't stand UPS.
Mine are delivered by UPS most of the time. The two times I had them delivered by USPS, I was given broken items. The good news about it was that each time I got my money back and an extra month of prime. The bad news was I had shitty broken items.
