I think if you met a certain standard (match 90% of other people's ratings or something) you would get the 10 bucks. I'm not holding my breath on these.
Wow! That so wonderful! Congrats! Are those the survey calling hits? I have always been too chicken to do those... Great job! Edit: Nevermind, I see my question was answered. Super great job though!
Well, I have an appointment on Monday afternoon now. He said they mostly do a lot of surveys, but they wanted to discuss "future work and training on how they do their surveys and other hits." So, I am really curious to see what happens.
I'm happy you got this. Full disclosure. I had their qual and gave it up two years ago. Their telephone surveys are brutal. Really bad. Maybe they've changed and hopefully for your sake they have. But when I had it, it was mostly call a Borders and try and get them to tell you how their sales have been, what their most popular item has been, have their sales been steady or up fluctuating lately. Stuff no business is ever giving out to a random caller. Maybe they've changed. Hopefully for you they have.
Cold calling is no joke unless you've got experience doing it. Most people can't handle the rejection and rudeness that is inevitable with that sort of task. Hell, even with the Grubhubs asking if they deliver, which is a normal question to a restaurant, I would get some really big assholes that would be very hostile.
I almost cried one time on those boat calling calls that used to post. Some lady was so rude and I was almost in tears. Won't touch a call hit like that since...
Morning. Don't feel like doing shit today. I'll never get a $90 bonus for anything. The highlight of my week was seeing an Amish person at Walmart...
The boat hits were bad. Those guys were all assholes. RIP smartsheet. The Joes or Macaroni grill wait lists were okay. The delivery ones were great last winter. Address ones are usually great. The Door Dash open on holiday were amazing. I got $600 bucks that week on those. But any time you want something more than address or simple question it's usually a punk teenager who doesn't care or someone that doesn't want to give the info out and I don't blame them one bit.
When I was new and didn't have any quals - I did a huge amount of calling hits - think it was for Sergei Lemberg, we were calling and asking what they name of the business was - and most of them were collection agencies - and lots of them were pissed because they had been called over and over that day. Of course they were all polite respectable adults about it so it was just fine. lol
I mean yeah that happens but I've done cold calling in other venues. Some people just don't want to be bothered. You could offer them a free car and they'd instantly reply "Not interested".
Well, B, I appreciate the background info on that. I have done cold calling before. Was paid a $30K salary plus benefits to do it too. Sure it sucked, but it paid the bills. If they are willing to pay me a decent amount, then I have a phone line with unlimited long distance and will be more than happy to do the work. Financially, we have been in a rough patch, so this would help to have a more steady income on the side. Now, that being said, if I get that uncomfortable vibe once I speak with them, then by all means, I am out that bitch.
