My personal approach is to ignore rejections. They are so few and far between that they really don't impact my numbers. My time is better spent making a dollar than emailing an asshat over 50 cents. Oh, and they are all asshats. I do good work. I'm careful. I pay attention. I do what I'm asked. I will not rush my work or get careless. Anyone who rejects that has an asshat reason, and is an asshat. You cannot reason with an asshat. An asshat will give you an asshat excuse for their asshat rejection and be an asshat when asked to reverse it. Even if you manage to win a reversal, it's not worth the 20 minutes and 3 emails it took to get it (or the 20 emails and hours you spent on all the ones you didn't get). I do not negotiate with terrorists. I disregard rejections. I'm much happier, emotionally healthier, and more productive as a result.
