And yet, there are plenty of people who are more than happy to do them. That's always going to be the problem with crowdsourcing work. The undercutting is so brutal it hurts everyone. Workers get worse wages and requesters get worse work. Circle of life.

Morning everyone!! Got a few hits done this morning, now I'm headed out to get an eye exam done so I can actually SEE. I'm nervous because I'm getting contacts and I've never had them before. And it's a new doctor I'm seeing, which makes me doubly nervous, ugh. Hope everyone makes lots of money today
Well, you actually have to remember that the audio and transcription goes through several more things before being sent back to the original client. The 25 second clips get transcribed, then reviewed, then all the 25 sec clips get edited back together, which then gets edited and reviewed. then reviewed again. All by different people who get paid. So, it is probably not nearly as much of an overhead as you are thinking.
I would feel better about them if they communicated at all. Rejections happen but when a requester refuses to even answer an email that's where I really draw the line.
well thats the thing, you get what you pay for. in this case they arnt. they are paying some obscene amount of money and getting slave labor results.

I didn't get to that batch last night, wish I had. It was my birthday so I was celebrating with the fam. I was actually able to take much of the day off from turking, which was nice! Back at the grind today!
